Let’s face it: figuring out insurance information on your own can be a pain, especially if you are attempting to figure out whether or not your physiotherapy, chiropractic, or massage therapy treatment is covered by your coverage. We direct bill to most insurance companies. We accept a variety of health insurance plans at InSync Wellness, and we are here to assist you to navigate the world of claims and benefits.
Before you arrive, please give us a call so we can verify your health benefits to see whether treatment services will require a copay, deductible, or coinsurance.

How billing works here
We direct bill to most major Canadian extended health insurers where the plan allows it, so in most cases you pay only the portion your policy does not cover. Bring your policy and certificate numbers to the first visit and our administrative team will submit on your behalf from then on.
Checking your coverage first
Plans differ widely in what they allow: an annual dollar maximum, a per-visit cap, a limited number of visits per practitioner type, or a requirement for a physician referral before reimbursement. Ask your insurer three questions before your first appointment — how much physiotherapy, chiropractic or massage therapy coverage remains this year, whether a referral is required, and whether the plan permits direct billing. Reception is happy to help you interpret the answer.
Motor vehicle accident and WSIB claims
Injuries from a car accident are usually covered through your own auto insurer, regardless of fault, and we submit the treatment plans and progress reports Ontario's system requires. Workplace injuries are handled through WSIB. In both cases bring your claim number and adjuster contact details and we start the paperwork before treatment begins.
If you have no coverage
You can still be treated. We provide an official receipt showing the practitioner's registration number, which is what insurers, health spending accounts and the Canada Revenue Agency's medical expense credit require.

InSync Wellness is at 20 Rivermont Rd B3, Brampton, Ontario L6Y 6G7, minutes from Mississauga Road and Steeles Avenue with free on-site parking and ground-floor, barrier-free access. We are open Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, and closed Sunday.
